gpivtools software package provides command line programs for Particle Image Velocimetry, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpivtools
gpivtools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpivtools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpivtools *
You will get with gpivtools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
